Mine goes out just as far as the one over the couch. The knob does turn quite a bit before the window starts to move but it does go out just as far. Not sure what to tell you---good luck with it.

In over 20 years of RVing I have never removed my TV's and (knock of wood) and have not a problem. I have had LCD's for the past 6 years without a problem.
