2017 F350 bed height

Has anyone had to adjust the hitch height due to the taller bed height in the 2017 F350's? My 2012 truck was 19-3/4" from the bed to the top rail of the bed, yet the 2017 F350 is 21" from the bed to...

We like our Alpine, especially the heat pump, however when I went to trade it in on a new one, I was shocked at how much it depreciated. I've been to three (3) different dealers all with the same...

My Alpine had the same problem with the vent hose falling down and then I could not fill up the fresh water tank. Remove the panel in the basement to access the vent hose, then lift it up and tie it...

Beckley's

I bought my first RV from Bob Beckley in 1984. He even gave me a driving lesson! I've purchased other RV's from other dealers, only to be disappointed when compared to Beckley's. Kelly Shanholtzer...

Ford pro trailer back up assist

Any thoughts on Ford's new Pro Trailer Backup Assist? Youtube has a video with the system on an F-150 and a boat trailer. Is it available on a F-350 and would it work for a 5th wheel?

5th wheel values

Has the bottom fallen out of the large 5th wheel resale market?

I went to trade in my 2012 Alpine and the dealer said there was no market for the large late model 5th wheels. If he had to take...

2016 Montana 3610RL

We're thinking about trading our Alpine 3200RL on a new Montana as the 3200 RL is no longer offered.
Has anyone had any experience with the optional "Goodyear G Range" tires Keystone is offering? I...

Battery

We have the same year and model Alpine and we do not dry camp. I suspect you are probably going to be due for a new battery. The Interstate battery lasted a little over 2 years. I bought a...

Air matress leak

We experienced the same problem. Just took a small amount of water and dish detergent in and poured it where I thought the hole might be. Found it very quickly. We learned our lesson that the...

keyless entry

The dealer could never find the key fobs, so I bought one for about $100. You may want to call Keystone Customer Service again and ask them to send you a PDF of the directions. I don't have it in...

Heat pump

I really like the HP; it keeps the Alpine very comfortable when the termperatures are above about 32 degrees. Below that the furnace comes on. It has significantly reduced propane consumption. We...

Heat pump

Our Alpine only has the HP in the LR. The BR has a 13,000 btu AC unit. I really like the HP. I too was disapointed that the 2015 Montana does not have a heat pump as an option. The HP runs "some of...

Alpine or Montana

We have had both. I'd give the edge to the Alpine. We have not had pealing decals on the Alpine although I assume Keystone has fixed that. The Alpine has a heat pump in addition to the gas furnace....

South Carolina CG

You would probably like James Island County Park outside of Charleston. As I recall it is about 600 acres. Generally large level sites that only the Government can afford with 50 amp service, good...

Winterizing

We don't do anything special with the slides, although I do exercise them once a month in the winter. I also check the battery to make sure it is charged.

Montana or Alpine

Like one of the other reviewers, you may want to look at an Alpine. It seems to have a lot of little touches that someone though about. I particularly like the standard heat pump that would...

Tire changing

I've done it, but it is VERY dangerous on the Interstate. It is not worth it. Get the Good Sam Road Club (AAA does not cover RV's). Watch how they park their service truck to protect themselves on...

Forrest,
Maybe it's the KOA's we've stayed at, but I agree with you the KOA sites seem tighter than most others. With that said however we stayed at the KOA near the Badlands in SD a week or so ago...

Decals

Steve,
I had the identical problem on our 2008 Montana. I only replaced the "bad" decals and they were easier than I thought. I remember paying $35.00 at the dealer for the big "MONTANA" decal on...

Electric cost

I'd guess $20-$25 per month assuming you do not leave anything on except maybe the fridge on during the week. I'm also assuming the campground does not add a meter reading fee, etc.
