My Chevy 1500 runs around 185 when towing not much lower than that when not. So far I have not towed many big hills and I generally don’t drive over 60 when towing.

One thing no one has suggested, with the batteries fully charged from shore power, insert an ammeter in-line with the positive battery cable. Unplug shore power to see what the current draw is....
