Lectric switch on Water Heater

A less spoken tidbit: If you hook up to shore power, turn on the WH Circuit Breaker ... and fire the WH with propane ... you will get HOT WATER FAST(er)! ;)
Just my 2 cents worth.

Doing the Dishes

Rufus,
I have Direct TV at home.
I found out by accident (while at my last RV campground) that Direct offers a $5 or $6 buck RV account that attaches to the TV plan you already have.
I had a spare...

Welcome!

Glad to see you found this forum.
I am not the official greeter, but we (maw and I) have a 2010 26SAB Cougar, and live in SoCal.

Fill out your sig, snap a pic, and brag about your stuff!

Satellite remote access on outside.

Well, thanks everyone. I could tell by the tone of the comments I would have to pull away the wall.
What I found was white and orange coax, a "T" or splitter and a shorted F-connector (braid to...

Satellite Prep "F-connector" ... where does it go?

I couldn't find where the satellite-input connector winds up in the coach, so I thought 'd ask for help.

Hooking up a 75 ohm short to the outside connector, I went hunting for the wire. Couldn't...

I tested my theory last week, AC only, fan on LOW and running. The Honda 2000i handled the load for about 1 minute, then the CB popped, test over. I turned off the AC in case it was running hot and...

finding lowpoint drains

Thanks very much for the information (that the drains could be anywhere, and mostly inaccessible.)
In the old days when I was younger, I had trouble using a mechanics crawler because of my large...

Unhappy Low Point Drain valve for hot and cold water.

Just pulled in with my new Cougar 26SAB in tow. Have been busy doing this and that, made sure the pink stuff was totally removed ... and tried the tank empty handles. While I was "down there" I saw...

Batteries running down under low discharge rate in storage.

Once again ... SOLAR panels to the rescue. My continuous-on electronics in my trailer (and truck) take so very little current, that I just put a 5-Watt solar panel (CW) on the back bumper (bumper has...

Jacking a 5er (or travel trailer)-

Thank you all for the obvious, but enlightening information about trailers, per se. Jacking sequentially from the corners (single operator) would cause undue torque to be applied to the wooden or...

Hard Starting Honda Gen set:

Hello-

I have a 2000i also, but in addition, I carry an extra I-State group 27M (Deep Cycle) and a Kyocera 85W solar panel with a small regulator - for those "Just In Case" situations. Just my...

Jacking the 5er when not in use

What is the tribal wisdom on lifting the coach off the tires, while it is standing unused? When off tires, I plan on jacking the 4 corners.

I live in SoCal, where the sun is pretty strong (even...

Turbo hose

My family owns 2 '06-60 PSD.
Mine would blow the hose right off the aluminum downpipe regularly, (I am the old man, concervative driver). My son is the driver with the 60 pound foot, and his never...

Boondocking with solar

Our camping herritage is TT's (old ones) where the most modern convenience was a uWave oven, no A/C! So, we had an old Honda 1KW rattle-trap, and some fans. Last year, we bought a very quiet Honda...
