Has anyone tried installing helper springs or gas struts on their murphy bed? Mine is a little heavy now that I've replaced the mattress with something comfortable.

Any Queen memory foam mattress will work fine. I use a Lucid 11 inch mattress and it works fine. A little heavy, but I manage.
