You can use any tp you want, we use Quilted Northern Plush and have for many years. The trick is to use enough water. Use the tank flush if you have it or you can use a twist on valve/hose connection.

A brief delay is normal, first the magnet is energized and attracted to the drum. After the magnet connects to the drum it moves an arm which then causes the shoes to spread out and contact the drum.

Since you hear the ignitor clicking you do not have a sail switch issue. The most likely culprit is a propane issue. Do you have propane? Is the valve open? Is the stove and water heater burning okay?

Mr. Heater Buddy heaters are NOT catalytic heaters. The Olympic wave heaters are catalytic heaters. Either one will do the job but a catalytic heater MIGHT have a little cleaner combustion byproduct.
