Thanks

Thanks for the posts everyone. I'm going to give it a shot in the next few days and see what happens. That area is probably too high for the wife to reach, but well within mine. May have to keep my...

Empty area above microwave

Hi everyone,

In my Cougar there is an empty space above the microwave(in theory) where I could put a few things. What's the best way to "knock out" the piece of wood covering the opening? I'm...

These are the best ones I have found for the money. About $5 a piece, but as bright as stock with a nice warm tent. Reputable ebay seller too.

I ordered a set of these a few days ago and they're a great LED for the money. Not quite as bright as stock or the LEDs I got from LEDtrailerlights.com, but not a huge loss in light output and the...

The 921's at the link below are what I use. The color is perfect, they are as bright as stock and the quality is great so far(although more pricey than I would prefer). People that visit the camper...

That is weird. No clue why they would have put one in there? My Xlite 29rev has one in the bathroom and it will melt your skin in there. Maybe something underneath in that model that makes it...

No problem

Steve,

I own a 2010 Silverado 1/2ton crew cab which will have nearly identical tow ratings to your 2013 GMC. I regularly tow a 2012 Cougar Xlite 29Rev that has a dry weight 1,100lbs higher than...

Cool

Where did you get the bulbs? How's the color? I've been thinking about doing this mod for a while, but I am not a fan of the cool blue LEDs I have seen so far.

Me too

My 2010 Chevy was the same way. The power wires that sent power to the brake controller and the 7-pin were zip tied to separate wiring harnesses. I had to cut them loose and then put them on the...

Couple options on the Sani-tube. You can mount it on top of your rear bumper using some threaded rod, nuts/washers, and some DIY brackets or U-bolts. Or you could use some angle iron from...

Yes

If you have the room for them, yes they will work given that you do not overload them. Seems like the limit for each was 1,500 lbs. So, in theory, your camper shouldn't weigh more than 6,000 lbs...

Common problem for some reason

I've read about this problem on several different forums. The only fix I've seen is 1) people will install a roller to the top of the door so it doesn't damage the awning or 2) they will retract the...

LOL...I hear you on the waist getting a little heavier. I think a big part of it is we had a pop-up before this camper and they are notorious for lacking storage space. So, we just haven't adjusted...

Ha

Hi Hank,

We don't put a lot of stuff in the camper honestly. I've often wondered how people put 1,000-1,500 lbs worth of stuff in their camper. Nothing wrong with it, we just don't have that much...
