Found the fan as described. It appeared pretty clean so I will hunt for a new one as I'm thinking must be bearing going.. I'm sure they are about $10 somewhere or less It's not horrible I'm guessing...

I am not positive but pretty sure my fridge was quiet when it was running. I am using it on LP as I always have,and there is a noise like a fan running..I'm pretty sure I didn't hear this before but...

Google is great.. the fans are 12 volt and just replace a light that " should be " attached to ceiling framing.. no box needed and framing for support. I will need to check out the ceiling support...

I agree it is a weak link. How ere it is only active when I hook it up so I will make sure to use the buddy system when I use it.. Being we are hooked up I am using lots of water in the head anyways...
