Just a thought...do you have a built-in vacuum cleaner? If so, the vacuum cleaner and microwave are interconnected (same circuit). The ON switch on the vacuum turns off the power to the microwave....

cvin has been busy...and I couldn't wait! So I went ahead and bought one and installed it this weekend. Runs great on my 2kw Honda generator. And cheaper and less hassle than buying a Companion...

Cvin, have you had a chance to install and check out the soft-start yet? We've been dry camping in Texas and I sure would have liked to have been able to run the A/C with my 2kw Honda.

I'm interested in this too. $300 instead of $1200 for a Honda Companion sounds like a good way to go...if it works.
