Thanks for all of the input - Befuddles the mind

It is kind of crazy how it all works. Our camper is now permanently set up in a camp ground on shore power and water (about 2 years now) It's not logical to me that the pump should be running at all...

Thanks for the tip about the batteries.
We can't shut off the pump. Panel switch doesn't shut it off and breaker box doesn't seem to have a breaker for the pump. I don't know where else to shut it...
