Possible the worm gear is binding in one or both legs. Next time try taking it apart and lightly grease the parts. It may have been bent during use.

I used an aluminum Andersen hitch for a year towing a 20K+ lb fifth wheel around the country. I had no issues with it. Light weight, strong, and relatively cheap. Frankly, it's a superior product.

Buy used. Let someone else cover the depreciation and fix all the problems. Doesn't matter what brand you get. They all have issues.

Consider canceling your TV order and get a dually.

I got an 8 gal 125psi max quiet unit at walmart for $125 last year. Used it with generator to fill up tires to 110psi. We were full timing, so it was worth it to me to spend the extra money.
