Yikes! Aside from the visible damage, I hope they are otherwise okay. I've seen my fair share of accidents on southbound I17 and AZ87. Lots of speed and weak tow vehicles.

When you get your tow vehicle, check to make sure it will charge the trailer batteries. I had to install a relay in order to get my truck to charged the trailer.

Depends on the tool. If it's specific to the trailer, like the WD hitch, it stays in the trailer. Otherwise it gets shoved under the rear seats in the truck.

If the battery is too dead for lights, I'm guessing it is too dead to run the fridge electronics. Try plugging in to your tow vehicle and run your engine for a few minutes. Good luck!

This was very helpful on our cross country trip. We also saved a bunch of money by finding smaller, non affiliated campgrounds compared to starting exclusively at KOA.
