Thanks Desert, appreciate your reply and offer.
For some odd reason did not get any notification of your response. Will discuss with the DW about dry camp and volunteer option. Thank you
Use Google Earth a lot. Thought Willow Springs might be an option due to proximity.
    Will get back to you

Contrail, but chemtrail tends to be more entertaining. the pic is of the NASA DC-8 doing synthetic fuel research.

There is dry camp parking at the races, with a lot available this year. If you wanted to help with gate security four hours a day I could get you a free place to park and meals...?

Do a Google Earth for the Bridgeport locations. Mono Lake is just over Conway Summit from Bridgeport. I don’t know the type of campground you might enjoy.

    Feel free to call. 775-771-2794

The second 1/2 of the message
Looking to photograph Bodie (our second time there) and then Mono after the races before turning back east to go home.
Our set up is similar to yours so of the parks you suggested, would you recommend one over another?? Also, would staying around Bridgeport or Willow Springs be reasonably close to get to Mono for sunrise photos?
    Thanks again!

Thanks for your response to our question. Tried sending you a PM the other day. Same question as posted since you are somewhat in the area and noticed on one of your posts that you were attending the air races this year.
So is it "Chemtrail" or Contrail??
I'm guessing by your avatar you flew military, SAC?? I grew up at Nellis AFB so TAC for me.
Looks like while we are in the Reno area we'll be staying at local RV Parks. Forest service CG's around Stampede and Bocca seem a bit too far away.
This will be our first trip to the air races. And, since we were married in a hot air balloon, we thought we'd take in the balloon event the week prior. Based on your experience is there anything (secret local knowledge stuff) we should know about?
    Appreciate your willingness to help.
