I have a 2002 Keystone Challenger that I just got out of 9 month storage. The battery is old, but I'm on shore power. Two of the slide outs went out reluctantly, but the third won't budge. I'm suspecting it's low hydraulic fluid, and someone told me to just add power steering fluid (Dexron II?). However, I saw another source that said all the slides have to be in for me to open the reservoir and check it. Anyone know if that's true?
I'm entering the category for cleanest floor under the toilet, as I had to replace the valve. Actually, I took the commode to a camper place and he replaced the valve for $179. I had one screw that was rusted almost off.
I replaced the hot water element last year, and after tearing up my arms trying to maneuver around the furnace, finally popped the panel off and it helped tremendously. I have mirror holders holding it in place so that I can pop it off easily if I need to.
Thanks for any info on the slide out.
