Hello Everyone,

First Keystone on the way from Indiana. We started camping last year in a new (leftover) 2011 Forest River Surveyor 192T Hybrid. Nice unit, but once the wife declared " I Love Camping !" I knew we would have to buy a larger unit. Anyway, I will be towing with a 2013 Silverado 1500, rated at 9600 lbs. I would be very grateful for any comments regarding the 26BHPR. I am especially intersted in how the unit tows, quality and known issues if any.

Thank you!

Gotta keep the wife happy. Mine (and the kids) love the beach, so I was able to convince her we needed the trailer so we could spend more time at the beach (and other places).

Your towing capacity looks decent. What's the wheelbase on your Silverado?

I have a 2012 Silverado 1500...and a 3180RE with a Reese WDH and sway bar.

From a quick search your TT shows Length 29'- 2" Height 10'- 11" Weight 5055 lbs roughly. Mine is 34' at approx 6000Lbs. I pulled home about 150 miles, and for the first 2 miles was scared poo-less that I had made a mistake. After realizing the ride was better than my work truck pulling a lift at 1/4th the weight, I eased back, took one hand off the wheel and rolled on. It pulled like a dream. I know yours is a little differently configured (and my experience is NOTHING compared to others here), but I feel you'll be very happy with how it will pull. These new Chevy 1500's are sweet compared to models a few years back with the 4 spd trans.

Again, I'm sure someone else can slam my intelligence on this matter, and I'm no expert at all.
