Fold Out Couch

We have the Montana 3700RL and love it, but the fold out couch with the air mattress has a large space between the back of the couch and the side wall. The air mattress has no support when inflated so you couldn't lay on that end to watch tv. Are we missing a part or was this just the way it was made or do I need to build something to support that end when the air mattress is inflated?

we have a Montana. air mattress is what it is and doesn't give you a lot of support. we just use the mattress on rare occasions, it isn't really something you'd want to use all the time.:)
