Yellostone for Christmas in the MH. I've been there many times and a few in the winter but never tried to camp.
At nearly 6000 feet it's COLD and the roads are mostly closed. I wonder how close I can get. Anybody ever tried ??

26 foot class C so it's not too bad has generator and will get it ready but !!!

I saw many RVs around Yosemite this Christmas and that's quite a bit at the 5-6000 foot range. People had camper trucks up to medium-sized fivers.

I know that much of Yellowstone is open during Winter, but I think it'll depend on what places are available to park the motorhome.

We were up near Angle Fire, NM at about 8500 feet with 6 feet of snow on the ground and we had no trouble camping.

We were dry-camping with generators!

You'll enjoy.........

Are any campgrounds open there in winter?

It's not for me, I freeze at 40* and thrive at 95* here in Florida.

I haven't really started digging into trying it. It's a possibility but a LOT of things to work out first. So far no year round campgrounds and going to see if the genny will run 24-7 for a week or more. I want to have it all but might have to compromise a bit. Probably smartet to get rooms at the lodge but $200 a day I can come up with ideas to see what might work.
