Tire preference

Looking to put a new set on our F 350 dually. Currently have a set of Firestone Transforce HT's. The mileage is good however, they have gotten loud after about 25,000 miles. Have had the same issue on the pick up I drive at work. Wondering what your experiences have been with other brands. Thanks in advance.

I've always run the Michelin MS on my duallies. Even with the heavy towing I do, I've always managed to get about 60,000 miles out of them without rotating. My new truck has a set of Generals on it. They are smooth and quiet. It will be interesting to see the mileage that they run. Most likely, I will go back to Michelin.

When I put on replacement tires on my vehicles they have always been Michelin tires. They are will built and quiet, I am able to get between 55,000 and 60,000 miles of usage on them before needing replacement. I rotate them at 5,000 mile interval and check air pressure monthly. My Ram 2008, 2500HD came with BF Goodrich tires and they only lasted 40,000 miles being rotated at every 5,000 miles. My 5er even now has Michelins tires on the trailer using XP Ribs all position tires.

My previous two duallies came with Good Years. Both ran between 28-30,000 miles and they were shot.

I use nothing but Michelins on all my personal vehicles including the Cougar. On the Ram the LT2s are the best rain tires I have ever seen. I average on all vehicles between 50,000 and 75,000 mi. in tread-wear with rotation at 7,500. They are pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Other than punctures I have never had a failure since 1968. (first set on '68 Volvo that lasted 100,000 mi. and still street legal when I sold it) JM2¢, Hank

I buy my tires at Costco, only Michelin. They give you free rotation for the life of the tires. They also come with road hazard for the life of tires as well. Can't beat it.

Hard to beat Michelins on a tow vehicle. They were the OEM tire on my Dodge and have given me perfect service for 60k miles of mostly heavy towing with about another 10k left, not a single problem and wear looks like it will be absolutely even all the way down to the wear bars. Can't ask for any better service than that so I will replace with a like set.

How are the Michelins in the SNOW? I have continentals on my 2010 F250, they are like car tires. I had General Grabbers on my 05 F250.

I have never had any issues getting around in snow, but again , I had a 100 gallon fuel tank in the back. I will miss it this winter, I don't have that tank in my new truck.

I have Michelins on my F250 and they are good in snow. I have a 8ft snow plow on mine and have not had a problem with them and where I live we average 100in of snow in the winter.They work just as good as Goodyear AT's
