Hey y'all, I am wondering how to know when a brake adjustment is needed. My Fuzion 5er feels a little sluggish compared to the TT I have pulled for years.
That being said, how do I adjust when needed? How much adjustment should I make?
Thanks for the advice

If it feels sluggish, it's time to check brake adjustment.

Go to Dexter's website and download the complete service manual for brakes and axles. It includes full instructions on brake adjustment and a lot more. It is a document that every TT owner should have and be familiar with.

The brakes on my 405 were dragging and felt sluggish when applied. When I removed the drums I was suprised to find that the brakes were not too far out of adjustment. After further inspection I found that my problem was that the shoes were not retracting. The contact points on the brake backing plate and the shoes were rusty and not allowing the shoes to retract. Cleaning the backing plate, lubing the contact points and adjusting the brakes corrected my problem.
