I have a 28SGS with one air conditioner on top of my 5th wheel. When looking at the brochure and calling Keystone they both said 11'11". I took my unit down to the dealer to get repaired and they measured it 13' 3". I am in the process of building a metal building to cover the Cougar. Why doesn't Keystone include the actual height with air conditioner in their brochures ?

Dan -
Probably for the same reason that they can't seem to label their holding tank valve pulls correctly. It's a steep learning curve for some.

coburke4, Howdy;

Get a straight 2X2or 2X4 and a level, hook the free end of a tape to it 2X,
climb on top find the highest part and have someone on the ground read
the height for you. Then you'll KNOW the number you are looking for.....

On a personal note, I'd build your shed/barn with a 14' opening ...
one never knows what might follow you home in the future ...

That would be great information. Pretty easy for them to add height according to what air they add.

Thank You all for the replies. I am going to make the shed height at 14' just in case of future upgrades. Quality control at Keystone needs some work.

Thanks again

Not defending Keystone (by any means), but our Laredo is exactly as the info states: 12' 4"
Our previous Keystone 5th wheel was also correct as listed.

IMHO, I'd re-measure it anyway based on the (obvious) huge difference... either way, the dealer or
Keystone made an error, and it would be good to know the correct height for bridge clearance, etc. ;)

BTW, I agree with the 14' high parking/cover entrance, for the future use too.

go for 14' door, that what I did, 50x70 with a 24x14 door, goes down the road it goes in the shed, brother in law had a 04 couger, 12' and it fit in, now they want to upgrade and all 5th wheels in his liking are over 12' so he may go pull behind--man will he regret that 12 foot door and height, if only he would have listened, as we built our shed same time, and I just upgraded to a 20-12 Laredo and never gave height a thought cause I had it covered, pun intended!

those couple extra feet will be worth it, I put a car garage in 24x30 section and a loft over top for off ground storage, those couple extra feet were handy to make it all work!
