I've read A LOT of threads/posts regarding using the trailers quick connect propane connection for BBQ's etc. All of them very interesting and educational to this new guy.

I just need to clarify one thing before I remove the regulator from my BBQ. Is the connection coming from beneath the trailer LOW pressure since it is already past the regulator on the tongue of the trailer, between the two tanks?

Thanks for the help.

If you think about the flow of the propane from the tanks in the trailer out to the appliances, you will see that it travels from the tanks into the regulator and then out to everything else. You've answered your own question as anything that has been regulated by the regulator is low pressure.

The only high pressure in the whole system is the line from the tanks to the regulator.

Most stand alone propane appliances like a gas grille have a regulator in their supply lines. If they are to be used via the quick connect on an RV, then that regulator needs to be removed. Thus the mod that one poster listed that removes the regulator from the supply line for the Coleman Road Trip Grille.

Thanks Steve! I thought that was correct but being that not only am I knew to the RV world, and not so mechanically inclined, I figured it couldn't hurt to double check on something like that.

Thanks again!

Pk, I had the same idea. I had an old smaller gas grill that I kept around so I cut the legs off and the regulator. I went to a welding supply store and had a custom 12 foot hose made with all the correct LP connectors. Now I store the grill in my pass through storage compartment. As for the regulator, you need to remove the gas grill's regulator since the quarter inch quick disconnect is located after your rig's regulator so its pressure is regulated down. My setup works great.

Great! Thanks a bunch! I took your advice and it seems to work okay in my driveway. On our way to the Sierras and Lake Tahoe tomorrow so we'll see.

Thanks again guys!
