We have just been getting pounded here by rain since Sunday night. Just incredible amounts of water have fallen. We are hanging in looking for the end of this thing. Looks like one more full day of it

We just returned from 5 days in Jacksonville and St Augustine. HOW we were so fortunate as not to get hit by bad weather is a miracle in itself. Lot's of friends in Jacksonville are being negatively affected by rain levels. Ground is hard packed and flooding of drains and retention areas is everywhere. Little sleepy town of "Live Oak" is underwater...parts of I-10, just west of Jacksonville, closed due to "sink holes"....

Not a great place to be at the moment.

Only tied is out west where wildfires are destroying homes and tens of thousands of people evacuated....

What's going on with our weather? Absolutely nuts out there.....

I am beginning to think that middle Georgia was a better choice than I anticipated for retirement.

Fla-Gypsy, hope your feet are still dry and safe!
Spending two weeks on the Oregon coast and i will not complain about about the little bit of rain we have been getting.
Sure would be nice to send yours to Colorado!

The storm has passed us by. The rain stopped like the faucet was turned off last night. We had about 48 hours of near continuous torrential rain. 14" in 48 hours, hard to explain just how hard it was raining at times. I calculated the water that fell on my property to 571,863 gallons. Thats a lot of water!

I guess with all that rain there wasn't much else to do. ;) Glad to hear that all is well, Hank

I have been in Florida during a rain like that, it is like a fire hose from the sky!!

Glad you are safe and dry.

Hey Outbackmel, did you know that Florida spelled backwards spells sink holes. I didn't until we got hit with 6 hurricanes while living in Melbourne area for three years. Being originaly from California I wasn't ready for that! It's still a beautiful State and has some really nice golf courses because of all the rain.
