I cut the panel under the bed and reinforced with 2x4 at top of opening.

Now we can slide a laundry basket and small clothes bin in/out without lifting bed.

Fine. Make it ridiculously convenient. And useful. Not like I’m jealous. Dang, that’s the most useful mod I’ve seen for that space yet. You really had to cut the panel? It couldn’t be easily removed?

We so seldom use that hard-to-access space that I never realized the flooring went all the way under the bed. Nice mod.

That my friend is an engineering marvel. Ours has the carpet all the way under. Time to take a look at it this weekend.

Here's another "under-bed storage" modification... similar to slider's idea.

I also modified mine. Added two pull out drawers, turns out the outback kitchen drawers are an exact fit, so we now have two pull out drawers, and a 12" deep full height storage area behind, and a 12" or so height storage area above the drawers under the bed. Much more usefull.

Thanks guys. Don't know if I had to cut it but from time to time the Rotozip needs a workout:)

I just removed the center divider and spanned the opening with a 2x4. Should hold up fine, if not I'll fix.

Thank you! I thought at first you removed all of the side panel. Looks great! I will seriosly look at this on my unit! I keep a weber under the bed...its heavy and awkward to put under each time. Great place for laundry! May do it on DW side so it is not visible from doorway.

So stealing this one. Great idea and should be even stronger than original with the 2x4 added in.

My water pump is on the other side also but only blocks about half that side, believe I can do something on that side. Thanks for the great mod.

I just purchased a new Vision. Outside storage space up the kazoo, but inside is a different story. I will certainly look into that idea. Probably do a roll out drawer or something similar. Thanks alot for the idea. New to the site and loving it already.

Slider,
I bet you could make a little curtain and hang it with a pressure curtain rod to mask the storage space? Obviously I'm a seamstress.:p
