question about the slides

I have a 2880RL with 3 slides and it uses a hydraulic pump to run them in and out. Both slides have a 1/4" stranded cable and pulley on each end of the slide.

Any idea what they are used for?

If nobody jumps in, I’ll take a guess at the manual override. The third slide doesn’t have them?
