Not much information in that article other than an RV burned. They say there is no idea what started it or what caused the subsequent "explosions."

It could have been LP tanks, or tires (so the article states) it also could have been a gallon of gas (for the generator) or a can of PAM cooking spray, or ???

Will be interesting to see if anything further is published. This article gives little to no information that would be helpful to prevent another fire.

Howdy All;

Article also stated that it may have been caused by an electrical appliance plugged in inside. Could have been an electric heater to take the chill off during the evening or morning..... or a faulty repair or mod....
Those stories generally don't have follow-ups. Probably have to contact the local Fire Marshal to find out what the investigation indicated.

^^ Agree, also didn't state age or have video of the hulk, could have been a older rig that was being used to live in.:confused:

The one response from the local area (in the comments) indicated an "overabundance of flatulence" so could have been gas, just not Propane...:bdance:

It's unlikely that any information about it will be released by Keystone that could point to possible design or production issues on their part. Can we say Product Liability Lawsuit?

Bob Landry, Howdy;

The article does not say who the manufacturer was, and closes with the following paragraph;

"While they don't know what started the fire, Chief Smith said it appeared to have started inside the trailer. He said they're looking at several electrical items that were plugged in."

Like a majority of fires of this kind either an overloaded outlet or an electric
(supplimental), heater will probably be found to be the cause.

Only my opinion.......

I happen to hear of a couple of Forestriver products that had caught fire and from what I heard the fires where caused by faulty stereo wiring. Supposably the stereo's they were using were the touch screen stereo's that Lippert offers.

I also heard that Forestriver was issuing a recall on them. The funny thing is when I went to Lippert Electronics (http://lippertelectronics.com/) web sit and tried clicking on information for their stereo systems I got a 404 error message but could get into every other part of their web sit without a problem. I found that a little strange.:confused:
