The 3200# for my Alpine apparently means nothing concerning length. I measured both inside and outside lengths and hears what I got. Total outside is 37' 11" and inside is 36' 1". Where does the 3200 come into play. I originally thought this was a 32 footer. No big problem, but when looking for an RV I wouldn't pay much attention to model numbers. Just an observation.

We're on our second shake-down cruise. Everything works great, no problems so far. Best thing on this 5ver is the Level-Up system. This is the coolest thing I've ever had on a RV in the past 20+ years. Thanks

Some makers tie the model number to the lenght... Some tie it to a series... Some arbitrary...

I was reading about one make (maybe it was even Keystone??) that they tie it to the square footage... Mine is a 330RE... and 8x38 = 304 plus some for the slideouts might make 330.. Maybe it was Keystone??

Sandy43 -

The "3200" is a model number. Has nothing to do with length, weight, etc., just specifies what general set of floor plans were used in construction and what the "customer" expects. Such as the 3640RL (ours). The model is the 3640, it has a Rear Lounge (RL). And if I walked into any other 3640RL, I would expect to see the island kitchen, rear lounge, etc.

I don't know of any manufacturer that ties the model number to the length, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

HI the 3200 is a code... it means you have $32.00 left over after taxes :bdance: ie it's a model code. mine is a 3750fl it takes 3,750 ft to turn it around and the fl is front living room so that makes sence!! what ever the number enjoy it to the max CAMP ON!!!:)

I believe the 329 in my 329fbh refers to square feet. The I'm not sure, but I think I read that somewhere. Not sure about the 3200 though. That would be a lot of square feet ;)

The travel trailers seem to be more consistently tied to length, using the first two digits.

When I look at fivers, the bigger model numbers seem to be heavier.

It seems to either be a model number or sq footage of the trailer my Copper Canyon 293 FWSLS is listed in the 2005 sales broucure as 31' 11", but upon measuring for a cover we found it to be 33' 6" from back of ladder to tip of front cap. Even if we take off the 9" for the ladder, we are still 32' 9".
