I have a 2004 Montana 3685 FL and I want to install a wall mount articulated TV mount above the dresser in the BR. This is an outside wall so I am concerned with how much weight the wall can support. The TV and mount will only weigh about 30 pounds total. I suspect I will need to catch a stud. Will a standard stud finder work.

Also remember your wall studs are alumunim. So use metal screws and make sure the length won't do through the wall. If you have cabinets on the wall close by see where they screwed into the wall to mount them this will give you an idea where the studs are. Found this link I hope it helps. Let us know how it goes.

On a cool morning, get up early and look for the condensation on the outside of your trailer. You should see where the studs are by the outline of condensation. While outside, measure from a window to the edge of stud, then go inside and make the same measurement. This should put you right on a stud.
