We are getting close. We are down to 2 different models The the Lardeo 303 and outback 312bh. Anyone have either trailer? Any issues? Anything you changed?

This is my first post here so a little bit about us. Family of 4 we have 2 girls. Tow vehicle is not an issue for either trailer. I have a 2011 ford f350 drw but it's lifted so 5er is out of the question. Also have a 04 Excursion diesel.

You might try doing a forum search on each of these two models to see if you can come across some threads or posts that might help you in making your decision. Just click on the Search link found in the blue bar at the top of the page. Welcome to the forum too!

Diesel, We were between the exact 2 campers and I went with the Laredo. We also have 2 little girls and I think we made a great choice. We love the Laredo and have not had any issues with it so far. Bought it new last spring and camped probably 15 times over the summer. If I remember right the Outback had the higher arched ceiling which I thought was nice but honestly you can't really tell a difference between them. I'd say whichever you get the better deal on but the Laredo just seemed a little nicer. Hope that helps.

They look real similar, thats for sure. Don't know If I'm a fan of the dark front cap and darker interior. But the Outback has more and bigger windows, nice for cross ventilation. I know between my Laredo and my buddy's Outback, I had power everything, awning, stabilizers, jack. My buddy's Outback was manual everything including the rear slide. I wouldn't think that the outside propane tanks would matter to me. He had white upper cabinets and wood lowers, which I'm not a fan of but this is not the case. Good Luck, they are both nice!

Well We bought the Laredo. Very excited it was the first one we both liked and the one we kept comparing every thing to. Now the shopping begins.

Great choice. Each cousin seems to have a little different option here or there, however the Laredo overall was always tops. We had it last season for the full camping season and loved it. There were very few issues, some minor items I took care of and brake issue on 1 of the wheels that the dealer took care of. We like that there was plenty of room for our 3 boys to grow up in (actually had 6 boys one weekend - that was crazy). Did yours come with the pull out drawers on the dinette. I believe I saw that was new for 2012 and would have really liked it.

Congrats on the new purchase and enjoy.

Looked at both and bought the 303tg great choice for us with 3 late teen children and plenty of room for us even when we take the dogs too.

Hey Diesel Dude. We were also considering those two exact models. We liked the interior ceilings in the Outback and the way the roof was designed. We did not like the two-tone white/natural wood cabinets, but I understand they have changed that on the newer models. The Laredo no longer has power everything, they deleted the power stabilizer jacks, but still have power tongue jack and power awnings. The hidden propane tanks on the Laredo make the front look nicer but the best feature of the Laredo is the full Queen size bed. It is 60 x 80, not 60 x 74 as in the Outback. For a man (and some women...let's be fair), that makes a huge difference. The newer 2012 Laredos have an upgraded interior that looks more like a motorhome. We chose the Laredo and are taking delivery on Saturday. Good luck with your purchase and happy camping!!!

The 2012 does have slide out drawers under the dinette. However it's not a u shaped dinette.

We love our 2011 Laredo 303TG. I saw the '12 at the RV show this year, and honestly prefer mine to the '12, for the "U" dinette, and the power stabilizers. However, I wish I had the '12 master bed new recessed headboard shelf, that was a good idea.

As for the Passport, I like how the Laredo is higher off the road, but do like the Passports higher arched ceiling. I also preferred the front cap and outdoor kitchen on the Laredo to the Passports. Minor differences, but the ones that swayed our vote in the end last year. I just think the Laredo is more Bang for the buck in 2011. Course that changes year to year and dealer to dealer.

Congratulations on your purchase, I don't think you'll wish for the passport, ever.

We love our '12 Laredo 303TG as well!!! Just a few minor issues, but our dealer has been quick to correct them. Laredo brought back the U shaped dinnette. The "new" dinnette was available for only a limited time.

We have the old new dinette. It's not bad but would rather have the u shaped dinette.

Just as a note:

The Springdale line has the power everything, we recently bought a 2011
266SS and it's nice having the power stabilizers, front jack and the power
awning.
