Batteries...can this work?

My new TT has of course a new deep cycle battery....I have two new large 6v golf cart batteries from a friend of mine in the floor sweeping business.... can I build a nice box mou ted in mplace and use all three batteries? I want to isolate the 6v/12vsetup from the 12v deep cycle with switches so I can charge and use either setup but not at the same time. This way I have lots of battery power available between charges.....anyone ever do this? I hate to not use the brand new 12v deep cycle.....but know that the two 6volters in series will give me more.

If you’ve got the space, go for it. Ground both (negative terminals) of your 12V and your series 6V. Then use a battery selector switch for the positive leads:

Even better, you *can* run both at the same time if you’d like.

Yup, that's what I did, picked up,a switch like the one sdayman linked to.
That way I can use the 2 6 v golf cart batteries, the original 12 v battery the dealer installed or all of them or disconnect all of them. I bought a battery box for the 2 6v put it beside the original dealer box and teed into the vent hose.

From the 6v batteries I run my 1000w inverter wired to a dedicated AC jack in my living room. So when boon docking I switch to the 6v's and keep my 12v as backup.

Yes you can do what you are asking. A good boat supply like West Marine will have good quality "Quest" switches and they are water proof. good luck with your project!;)

Well after looking at the batteries my friend had...I decided not to do it....they were some big 6 volters for sure...would have kept the tt running forever...but had to be 100lbs each...I can't see adding 200 lbs tounge weight....I will just add another 12 v or 2

If those 6 volters are in good condition, and youre really worried about the extra tongue weight of having 4 batterys, youd be better off using the 2-6 volts instead to the 12 volts that are in place. Might be a little heavier, but youd have way more capacity than the stock 12v.
