Incandesent replaced with LED's?

Has anyone replaced there stock incandesent bulbs with LEDS?
Im in a montana 3750FL and would like to know where and what types my bulbs are. to start searching for Ebay speicals to get more light and a smaller utility bill..

are there Pros and Cons?
do they get REALLY HOT?

anyone ?

There are a number of members who have done either a complete or partial replacement and if you do a forum search, you will find numerous already been discussed at great length here on the forum. Try typing in LED lights or similar in the Search Box.
Pros....... longer lasting, less heat, less power consumption
Cons ......can be more expensive, some not satisfied with light emitted (too white- not white enough, not as bright..)

The LED replacements can be found by searching on the incandescent bulb number on sites like superbrightleds.com. For example, the 921 is a very common incandescent in RV's. There are a great number of LED equivalents to be found that reference the 921's. 921's have a T-10 base and you can look for LED's with that base, too.

Almost all the incandescent or halogen bulbs used in RV's are standard automotive bulbs.

Ebay is also a good source. If you search on [b]led 921[/] for example, you'll get hundreds of hits.

As has been extensively discussed in other threads, color and lumens are important. Some like the bright white, white while others like the warm white. Several folks have reported that you need at least 200-250 lumens from an LED to give out as much light as the incandescent equivalent. That is why the lights that sdayman pointed out are so popular. They have enough LED's to give out plenty of light, they're available in whatever color you want, and they come with adapters for festoon, BA15, and T10 bases. That means that they can be used in the standard single and dual RV light fixtures.
