We are headed out in about a month for our first trip of the year. We are so excited. We always love getting the camper out for the first trip of the season. It seems like its new all over again even though we are veteran campers. We have reserved one of the best sites at one of our local COE parks, Burchfield Branch. The site is river front in a beautiful area.

Looks awesome. Have fun! I’m so envious of all these faraway places with tons of space, great views, and crazy-low prices. COE spots here are $25 for limited hookups and don’t have such good views.

We have been out from the 1st of the year in Decatur, AL. Spending time volunteering at the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge. In Jan. and Feb. we had over 13,000 Sandhill cranes but on top of that there was a total of 16 Whooping cranes along with other water birds. We are leaving here in April to head to the Outer Banks of of NC for the summer. Man, this retirement is rough.
