Portable Frig/freezer for additional storage

Planning a 6 week trip and would like to buy an external portable frig/freezer to carry additional food and beverages so as to eliminate the need to stop for food.
Any recommendations? One unit "Colzer" $330 had the highest ratings.

A little more info would help here. Are you looking for a 12v dc fridge? A 120v ac fridge? How much storage (size?)./ Are you looking to keep it inside the truck or in the truck bed?

Sounds like you're looking for storage for 6 weeks worth of food? Why?
That could be a good sized fridge. Where would/could it be stored & plugged in?
Is it due to COVID 19?
Don't know about Nevada, but ALL the stores in Arizona are open, mask are required, no questions asked where you're from or any other limitations for entering.

OP that sure seems like a lot of expense to "not stop for food"?? You will have to stop for other things (fuel I would think), why not food? You should have an onboard fridge. Heck, we travel light and then go buy groceries when we get to a spot and replenish as needed. For us, we carry too much in the first place and have a barn full of stuff we've bought for "that" trip I don't need or use any longer.

Thanks for the response. A tad over kill on my part. what started this thread was the fact that we have a 2017 Keystone Hideout. The Norcold frig/freezer is small, works great on shore power BUT two things, #1 the process to ignite AND keep the flame is a major chore which typically takes the two on us, one inside clicking the igniter and holding in the gas valve and one outside to watch the burner flame if it stays lit but usually goes out. It takes several tries before the burner stays lit. I think something might be wrong with the thermocouple not generating the small current to keep the gas flowing. I bought a new thermocouple BUT the entire frig must be removed to get the other end of the couple disconnected. Don't want to do that. #2 one lit on propane the frig flame will not stay burning while traveling short distances, Yes I have used heavy fil shroud around burner flame but nothing works for more than a few miles -- hence thinking about a stand alone freezer between Camp grounds

Ahhh, makes more sense. I don't have any experience with those portable fridge/freezer units. Bought an ARB (supposed to be one of the best) 60? quart or so fridge freezer some years ago. Used it once and it seemed to work great (it was HOT). It was another of those items for "that" trip. It cost too much (a little over 1k as I recall) to just sit out in the barn so gave it to my SIL who said he would use it. I believe he sold it. How much would it cost to fix that fridge? That might be the cheaper, better long term solution.

Man, Momma would NOT be happy if we were on the road and the fridge was not working. I'd recommend a good mobile tech and make the thing work. I know we all have different situations, but then that problem would be behind you.
