A few questions for y'all that have put Sailuns on your TVs --

Did you get the Terramax AT-4s or the HLTs?

How do y'all like them? I am replacing the Bridgstone AT/TA2s that are currently on my Ram 3500 dually.

Any issues?

I have the terrimax ats on mine, infact my second set and as it sits right now its all Ill run.

I installed Sailun Terramax AT 4S tires on my F250 in March (I believe) of last year. Cost at WalMart was $608 for 4 tires. To date, nearly 15K miles on them with no appreciable wear noted. I use a tread depth gauge monthly. They ride smooth, performed well last winter in northern Michigan snow/ice, we towed to Las Vegas with no issues in the desert heat. The ride is quiet, in fact, to "our ears" the road noise is significantly less than the Michelin LTX tires that were OEM on the truck.

It's my intention, at this point, to replace them with the same Sailun tires when they need replacement. With the current wear, it looks like that will be in the "distant future" rather than any time soon....

I'm super well pleased with them and would recommend them if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Michelin's with as good or better quality than most....

Thanks for the feedback. There is only one dealer who can order them here, and he is a distributor/warehouse, so he can't install them. I wanted to ensure they were going to be worth the hassle...looks like they will be.

I ordered mine from WalMart, had them shipped to the store and they installed them for $12.50 per tire for mount, balance, free rotations and road hazard. There's a "WalMart within spitting distance" of nearly anywhere in the US, so I figured it would be easier to have a problem serviced anywhere we might travel... There's a WalMart Super Center in Brady, 30 miles from you... I'm not "plugging WalMart" but as big as they are and as many stores as they have, for someone traveling, there's a "tire service center" most anywhere you might go.

I also bought my Carlisle Radial Trail HD's from WalMart for the same reasons, in addition to the cost. WalMart was the cheapest price I could find on the trailer tires.

Ranger, indirectly this is info you're looking for. Our dear friend has a 2012 Georgetown Class A which came equipped with Michelin treads. When I mentioned a few years ago that he should try Sailuns the price pulled him over to that side. $200 vs. $380 at that time. Three years later those tires look like almost new. And he's ahead more than $1,000. I'm a big Michelin guy, but money is money!

For those Canucks in the forum, You can't get Sailun from Walmart.ca.
Canada also doesn't sell the 4s, but we do have the 3PMS, they are in the 2020 catalogue. HT's are all season and the 3PMS are all weather, price is similar, both e rated.
With the amount of KM's that I drive without the trailer vs with the trailer I would probably get the HT's. I'm about 20k km's /yr
I have Michelin a/t's for now, they are probably good until 2022.

What size tire are you looking for? My F250 tires are Sailun Terramax AT 4S LT275/70R18 125/122R LRE. The current price for them today is $169.28 each.

The tires on my Ram are 235 80 17s; I could move to 245 75 17s with no issues, but i wanted to stay with the oem size.

And, I don't see much of a price difference between the oem size and the 245 75 17s.

The Sailun Terramax AT 4S LT235/80R17 LRE tires are listed at WalMart for $140.40 each. I don't see where you're finding a price of $208 per tire....

The price you posted (208) is $1248 for 6. Actual price (141) at the WalMart website is $846 for 6....

The $208 was for the 235 80 17s, when I looked yesterday, but they were out. They must've got more in since then, and with a lower price...awesome!

the 3PMS are nothing new I have been running them for 3 years now in fact the "3PMS" stands for 3 peak mountian snowflake, it is just the name for the standard not the tire model. the 4s I believe are a older version (they have the original tread pattern) that is sold to big box stores like walmart in the US. visualy the only difference is the cut line on the 2nd row blocks goes all the way through on the ATs and only about 1/2 way on the 4's.

its kinda funny as Sailune canada carries 5 different versions of the terramax, where the US site only lists 2 types.

Going from a 235 to a 245 (any brand) almost always requires a wider rim size. I'd check the manufacturers truck tire data book for conformation.

I did check on that, and I am .5" thinner than recommended. So, I am just going to get the oem size.

The above posts were informative. I had never heard of the Sailun brand. On Googling, I found a good review (on a different SUV tire) but was still informative. https://www.autoguide.com/sailun-terramax-hlt-review This review concludes it is a good brand at a budget price.

I am running Hankook tires now as my OEM replacement. These were bought before I bought my trailer. I have got about 27,000 miles on them and have about 5/32 tread left. I am debating about replacing them before we get into winter here in northern Utah. Does anyone have experience with Sailun for a half-ton tow vehicle? The tire size in 275/60R20.
