As many have experienced, the Dometic capacitive touch thermostat is defective and continues to be in most cases. In my prior experiences there was no alternative so I just kept replacing them. The new trailer came with one for the main unit - and it is wacky too.
Back in July Bill-2020 sent a link to a MicroAir replacement thermostat for the Dometic CT. It is the only replacement I'm aware of for that particular unit. I had intended to buy one but I've not had the trailer here long enough to do anything to it since we've returned. I am going to order one today and have it on hand for when the trailer comes home....someday.
I want to add that on another forum I belong to a couple of folks have installed them and report back that they are a wonderful improvement over the OE Dometic allowing setting up both the AC and furnace to maintain a set temperature, wifi connectivity and a host of other nice improvements. Hopefully I'll have the chance to get it installed prior to leaving for FL again. If not, I hope to be able to update later this year...if I don't forget...:facepalm:
