Hi Everyone, I want to start by saying that i am very impressed with all the experience being shared in these threads. I have already learned so much from. Thanks to everyone for all your experince.
We live in Revelstoke, British Columbia. We stared out RVing with an old motor home, which we got rid off in favor of a truck and trailer about 6 years ago when we bought a 2005 Outback 21RS. This trailer was fantastic for a family. We have had some great memories.
With our kids no longer camping with us, we didn't need the bunk beds anymore, so we upgraded to a 2011 Cougar 24RKSWE. The Cougar we acquired is like new, in that in its 9 years, it has been taken out maybe 10 times, and never far from home. it is a super clean and well maintained unit. I am towing it with a Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ, rated for 10,400lbs towing capacity. It pulls the Cougar nicely. I admit i was a little worried about the extra weight going from the Outback to the Cougar, but the truck pulls it very well.
