Hello Y'all

I just became an owner of a 2021 Fuzion Impact Edition 343. My pulling rig is a 2019 Ram 2500 with air ride. I am using a Pullrite Superlite for the hitch set-up. I came from a 2007 weekend warrior so I have a lot to learn, they are completely different animals. Thank you!

Welcome! Just a note but a 17K lb 5ver is a lot of camper for a 3/4 ton truck. What does your payload sticker say your payload is? It is the white/yellow placard in your door frame. The tongue weight of that camper is likely about 3500 lbs. Add passengers, and camping stuff and whatnot in the cab plus hitch, tools, etc. and you are very likely well over 4K lbs. Hope you run into no issues pulling your new Fuzion as it is in one ton diesel dually territory. Anyway, welcome and enjoy the forum.

I am aware of this issue. I am trying to find a 3500 ram but with the pandemic going on right now I can't find what I am looking for. I spoke with the dealer and he stated, through a vin search my towing was 17k. I am not going anywhere far right now, so we shall see how it goes. it seems like it tows and stops just fine right now.

Hey Gribbs, welcome from Pennsylvania! Glad you are trying to find a 1 ton truck, you are on the right path. As George stated, the payload will be your enemy with the 3/4 ton truck; that 17k towing numbers means absolutely nothing; you are well over your GVWR on the 2500 hooking that thing up completely dry. Your truck can tow that trailer, but it cannot safely carry the pin weight of that toy hauler. Enjoy the trailer and try not to tow it until you get a bigger truck. Well, unless you having nothing to lose in an accident. :lol:

I can only echo what has been said; you have too much trailer for that truck.
It seems to be a common problem. When I was faced with that issue I just bought a 1 ton....which you should do.

Good advice above, get a 1-ton as soon as you can; you won't regret it!
