We have a outback 340bh. Noticed this weekend these are peeling on the slides where cable enters trailer.

They are located (supposedly) at the cable ends to keep the cable from coming loose should there happen to be a bit of slack in the system. Look where the little knob on the end of the cable rests in your bracket and you will see where it can slide towards the inside and come out of its seat. Yes, something better could have been invented.

Nah, I think they are the rubber seals that are there to cover the holes in the frame that the cable goes through. They glue on to the slide wipers. Ours came unglued as well. Gorilla glue didn't hold up for very long so I'm thinking about some 3M AUTOMOTIVE trim glue.

I just replaced the O/S vertical slide seal on a Bullet today. I used Harbor Freight super glue on that piece and it’s good to go.

I got some HF super glue and I'm going to give it a try tomorrow!
