My old faithful just won't cut it anymore, 105 psi was all it would do.

Looking at the Viair 400P RVS

Comments?

Well the old 2001 Ram 2500 had a PacBrake that included a 150 psi on board compressor for operating pressure. When we got the 2016 Ram 3500 DRW it had an OEM exhaust brake, I quickly missed having compressed air, yes I like air horns also. I found this on Amazon for a good price. Mounted inside rear fender well.

With the 2.5 gallon tank I can also operate my impact wrench to loosen stubborn nuts.

I carry the 400P and it has done fine. I got rid of the little coiled air hose that came with it (too kinky and brittle) and replaced with a standard 25' (?) air hose. Trying to connect to a 12v supply is sometimes more than I want to mess with so I also carry a little Fini 120vac compressor. Small but gets the job done. A little slow at 110psi but just fine if you're only topping off or adding 5-10psi per tire. I just plug it into the outside outlet on the RV and take care of the tires a couple of days before departure. I have found that my hand held (in line) pressure gauge is about 2-3 psi off from my TPMS but it's no big deal - I just make a mental note of it.

I have the Viair 400P Automatic. Bot from Walmart 260.00. Maintains my 5er tires at 110 lbs, truck at 80 lbs and of course bikes etc. Good air pump.

Have Viair pump and tank in the bed of the truck for the train horns, air bags, and a quick disconnect for hose & acc. I've had it for 7 yrs IIRC. Never a hiccup in any temps.

This has worked well for several years, 6 gallon 150 psi.

Mine is about 12 - 13 years old and would never do more than 120 psi.

I picked this one up 2 yrs ago for $129 on sale from Crappy Tire.
Really happy with it, it is whisper quiet. It is also 120V
I am intrigued by Russell's Viair link.
I will have to do some homework.

Added a Bostich and a 65’ air hose reel to ours. Love it.
