I have a new cougar and want to upgrade tires. Any recommendations rather than Goodyear. They recently closed their plant in my city so I would like to stay away from them if possible

What size trailer.
Radial Trail HD by Carlisle are popular with smaller / lighter trailers. Sailun are popular with the beasts.

Asking best tire brand is like asking best truck brand.:) At least with RVs it's been pretty consistent lately. With Goodyear out of the picture I would personally recommend the Carlisle Radial HDs. Put them on the last trailer as an upgrade and they performed very well. It would be helpful if you posted your trailer and tire size.

If you’re looking for heavy duty, I just put Carlisle CSL16s on my fifth wheel. I’ve only done a short weekend trip so far, but judging by weight alone these are twice the tire that I had before. It’s quite a workout just getting them up on the wheel.

Randall, I also agree that we should know what model you upgraded to. Most likely I would say that Sailun name always comes to the top, but Carlisle and Maxxis also would be on the list.
How is the big transfer tank working out for you in your 250? Do you have it plumbed in direct or is it only used as transfer?

I will amend my previous statement; I made the recommendation of the Carlisles thinking the OP had a bumper pull. If a 5th wheel of any size I would go with the Sailun S637 which is what I put on this trailer.
