Weird propane issue. One appliance is working and orange valve leaking

2013 Keystone Raptor 332TS. I went to switch the fridge to LP and it would not light. Entry door side tank was not full, but had about half in it. Driver's side tank was full and had not been used yet. When I turned on the driver's side tank, it was leaking propane from the orange valve that the pigtail connects to out of a little pinhole on the valve. I immediately shut it off. Since it was 4am, I decided to load the cooler and start the trip as we were going to a site with full hookups.

When I got to the site I turned on the entry door side tank and found that I could light the stove and oven. The refrigerator still wouldn't work, and the water heater wouldn't work in LP mode.

Is all of this a result of the orange valve leaking? Is this an overpressure/flow valve? I just read something about turning on the tanks slowly, but I wouldn't think this would cause this valve to vent propane.

The RV had been parked for weeks with both tanks turned off.

Why does just the range/oven work and no other appliances?

The orange thing is a regulator that only allows vapor and not liquid to flow. If it’s leaking replace it ASAP. Everything should work on the other cylinder, do you have the regulator turned to the proper tank? You may need to purge the line to the refer.

So what may have happened is that I opened the tank valve too fast, which stopped the flow of gas due to it thinking it was leaking, got to the campsite and for whatever reason, the valve worked. Refrigerator and hot water are working on LP now. I'll replace the valve asap.
