Hello, from SW Idaho! I just picked up a 2020 Hideout 22LHSWE. I have owned a few small 12'-18' camper trailers in the past for hunting, camping, boondocking, but this is by far the nicest, biggest TT I have ever owned. I will have to learn a new camping style because I certainly am not going to drag this behemoth on the old, rutted out logging roads I am accustomed to. My wife has never been much of a camper, but she is the one who decided to buy a new TT, so I guess I'll have to take her out camping somewhere nice, easy roads and close to shopping, lol. My tow rig is small, a 2007 F150 Supercab 2WD 4.6L v-8, in which I added a WD hitch/sway bar set up and it already had a brake controller installed. With careful packing and watching my weight, I towed it up to the mountains where it will remain most of the summer. I just took my time and all went well. I was that old guy pulling a TT that I always hate getting behind, but now I understand. Anyway, I hope to learn from the more experienced folks here! Photo to come.

Welcome Danno59, Suspect the weight police will be all over you regarding your tow vehicle. I will also tell you that you will probably get hooked on more trailer and camping and a more appropriate tow vehicle could be in your cards. I do truly understand finances don't always allow for the new, top of the line one ton. I personally started RVing with an F150 with a Lance in-bed camper (big mistake) and moved to a 1996 F250 which had drum brakes (gas hog too) and now have a 2006 F350 diesel. I can pretty much buy any camper I choose in my price range (I can't afford new and have a 2002 Cougar 5th wheel). If you get a new truck allow yourself some wiggle room on towing ability; makes camping a lot more fun.

Greetings and welcome to the forum!

Very nice looking setup you have and I'm sure you and your DW will have many enjoyable times with it.

That is a very pretty location where you have it parked too!
