I picked up this compressor at Sears a few years ago when it was on sale for $99.99. Sears website currently lists it at $139.99. It goes up to 125 psi and has a 3 gallon tank so it works well on truck tires that want up to 80 psi.

Even when I found a 12v compressor that would fill a truck tire it took forever. So I keep my trim nailer compressor in the basement storage and run it off my inverter. A 25 ft. coil hose just reaches all tires and I also use it for my air bags. 135 psi max. with a 1 gallon storage tank.

Howdy All;

Got in touch with my friend in Ohio that does a bit of off-road stuff where they go low pressure then pump the tires back up. I remembered he'd a compressor mounted into the bed of his truck. Here tis;

a bit pricey but if you think you might be able to justify it to the Better half...

A guy on one of the jeep forums I hang out on did an extensive test and review of a number of 12v On Board Air compressors. His final analysis is - surprise! The cheapy pump from Harbor Freight! Goes against my belief that anything substantial, reliable and durable comes from Harbor Freight, but that's what he found out. I'll see if I can find the review - I think it was on http://www.colorado4x4.org

Well, nope! Mis-remembered ... it's here http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f27/harbor-freight-vs-costco-portable-12v-air-compressor-depth-review-w-pictures-378082/

I use a T-Max compressor. That’s what I have handy for my off-road adventures. Seeing how it’s 12V, it’ll always work, and it does inflate relatively quickly.
