I have a 2014 Keystone Bunkhouse 260. When I turn on water from any inside location, the water pump that is located behind lower drawer by sink is very noisy while it runs. Is this normal? Makes kind of a growling sound until it shuts off...Will a new pump be quieter? Thanks

The water pumps vibrate as they push water through the "circular diaphragm". It's inherent with the design of the water pumps. That causes a vibration that is transferred to the PEX water lines. EVERYWHERE that the PEX touches a trailer surface will "become a drum" and with every rotation of the pump, you'll get the full benefit of a Flojet or a ShurFlo "symphony". If you find your water pump, turn it on, open a faucet and spend some time exploring. You should find a number of places where you can use pipe insulation (the black foam type from any hardware store) to wrap around the PEX to help "quieten the drum". If there's no "flexible lines" attached to the pump, you can buy a "pump isolation kit" that will also help reduce some of the initial vibration from occurring. Many trailer have that kit already installed, so don't buy one without checking first. I can't remember ever walking into a trailer that I couldn't find the water pump just by listening, and as "hard of hearing", if I can hear them, they're loud by anyone else's standard.

Thanks, water pump is located under lower drawer and next to sink. I will install insulation under it and check for the pex lines touching anything
