So my 2018 springdale 282 had a propane smell coming from the front tanks. Did some investigations and found the crimp was loose and leaking on the pigtail going into the automatic switch regulator.

No big deal was just going to take it off and replace the pig line. So take it all apart and now I am left holding a little plastic screen, spring, and a ball????

What the heck is this from and will a regular pigtail work?

Any help would be great, dont want to make the 2.5 hour drive back to the dealership to have them look at it if it's something I can fix.

Thanks

If it came out of the pigtail hose, it’s the high flow preventer. Your replacement pigtail will have the same thing in the hose, your good to go with replacing it. Just pay attention to the end that goes into the regulator, is it inverted flare or npt.

Ya now I am torn there was 3 pieces that fell right out, 1 piece left in both the regulator and end of hose ?

The piece in the regulator is probably the npt to inverted flare adapter . Don’t worry about the pigtail.
