On a 2020 Montana high country my heated tank sensor switches are at the front door control panel. They don’t illuminate when switched on. Not getting a 12 volt signal? Or does that matter when hooked to shore power?

Are you getting 12VDC to the switch? easy to verify if you are with a Volt?ohm meter. Take the control panel off and look at the switch, does it have 2 or 3 posts and is there a wire connected to each?

Maybe the red lights only come on when the heating pads thermostats get below a certain temperature and draw current?...

To my knowledge, tank heaters are either on or off and don’t have a thermostat. I could be wrong and I’ll wait for someone with more knowledge to reply.

The word "sensor" shouldn't be part of this issue.

My heated tank switches are just plastic switches. Non-lighted. Are you sure yours have lights?

I have seen both lighted and non lighted, cheap enough that you could make them lit in red or blue.
