Skirting Questions

Thanks for your answers - it's so good to know there's lots of help out there. Going it solo can be scary. About the skirting - I really feel squeamish about drilling into my new baby so is there any type of skirting that I can use just for a temporary measure for this winter rather than drill holes into my new Outback? I'm use to cold (from New Hampshire) and the bottom is fully sealed and I have a water hose that heats up from Pirit. Could I go without skirting??? Also I'm squashed in between two fifth wheels 2-3 feet apart - what if I pile up the snow around me? :confused:

I'm using 2" x2" and forcing it gently into place then using the air trim nailer and 2" trim nails to hold it together. Got aluminum bubble wrap off EBay for a lot less then any place locally and will attach with staples and then wood strips over it. Hope it works

Had a Lady whose son came and did hers-up a few winters ago in Not so warm Central Utah.

He had the 8'X4' X2" thick (R-8, I think), foam panels They had the aluminumcover on one side (I think).
Any way They measured and cut the panels so that they would come up to the top of the corner radius (think bottom of basment access). To hold then together they cut some 3/8" plywood into pieces that measured (roughly),
18"LX4"H. Then they used 3" self tapping screws with a wide dia. to screw the panels to the ply strips (the strips were inside the "skirt").

Don't just rest the foam on the ground. dig out a small trench to set it into. Helps to stand-up to the wind and critters.

Measure a cut access points for sundry things such as tank valves, sewer line, etc.
