avalanche 379bh front ac problem

First time out in our new fifth wheel and the back ac works perfectly. You feel a little air flow in the front bedroom, even though the front bedroom has its own ac unit. If the front bedroom ac unit is the only one on, there is no air flow at all. You hear the ac unit kick on, but no air flow. You think the ducting came loose from that unit? Any ideas of how i can fix it without having to take it in? Anyone have this same issue?

When you say no air flow, you mean no air flow from the front unit? Turn on just the fan, and check for flow.

If the fan is running, take off the filter and look up into the AC unit. Make sure the divider is in place, and when you look up into the unit do you see the coils?

Ok. Did it come from the factory with both air conditioners or did your dealer add the bedroom one?

Came from the factory with both Air Conditioners. I did some research and looks like the ac ducting is called "race" or something where all of it is connected. If the back ac unit runs, you can feel air flow in the front bedroom. But if you run both, the air flow doesn't change. The air flow is low in the front bedroom, as it would be because it is on the opposite end of the camper. If you run the front ac, the air flow doesn't change. If turn the back ac unit off, only running the front one, no air flow at all. So i'm guessing some ducting came loose from the front ac unit? You can hear the fans and everything kick on. I have also seen in some forums of the holes not being cut. I don't know at this point. We keep it at the lake so isn't right outside for me to check.

I have seen the divider missing, the ceiling plenum (grate) and the mounting plate put on backwards. Also the ducting blocked off with aluminum tape. I doubt any ductwork “fell off” as it’s a channel cut in the styrofoam.

It would be on the sides where the ducting meets the opening. In units with second AC prep only, those openings are taped to prevent loss of cold air into the space between the ceiling and roof.
