Added Dual battery, need to reroute LP...

Have a '17 Impact 312, the single 12v battery wasn't sufficient for our needs, dropped in a camco dual battery box and filled it with two 6v batteries.

Unfortunatlely, the 4' propane line can no longer run where it did before. I need a longer line and think I've found one, but it'd run underneath the battery tray.

I'll transfer the plastic armor, and ziptie the hose in place, but is there an issue with running it under the battery rails from a safety standpoint?

I've found 5', 6' and 10' hoses, while 10' would let me keep everything 'up top', it seems like it'd be overkill, running under the rails would only need a 5' hose.

Many trailers have the LP line underneath the battery tray, you’ll be ok.

Just secure the hoses so they can't get pinched by the WD hitch bars and you should be good.

As stated, just secure the hose (with permanent clamps) so it can't get pinched by the sway bars or WD bars/clamps for the hitch and you'll be OK.

As for finding the "proper size hose" remember that the regulator is "before the hose" so all you're dealing with is about 0.5 PSI of gas pressure. Don't ignore the low pressure and get lulled into a false sense of security, but remember what you're dealing with. Also, any propane distributor that sets tanks and delivers bulk propane for homes and businesses can build you a "custom hose" in any length you need or want.

I did some propane line changes in my rv and home. Here are a couple tips I learned.

Propane lines could be 1/4” or 3/8”
The propane line fittings could also be 1/4” or 3/8”
If you could add a quick connect for a BBQ or fire pit, those could also be 1/4” or 3/8”. Your rv may be 3/8” and the BBQ could be 1/4”
Use thread tape on your connections that is made for propane, usually yellow, not white.

Thanks on the thread tape! Found a 5' hose on etrailer.com that looks like it'll solve the problem. While y'all are here, I seem to have a slow leak at the tanks...we used the trailer over christmas and it was VERY cold...I'm thinking that's more a factor than anything else, but are the o-rings in the tanks easy to find replacements for?

I always keep the valves closed when I’m not using it. It seemed like I may also have a small leak. Haven’t been able to find it.

dish soap and water in a squirt bottle. That will find a leak.

I had a leak in both of the pigtails coming from the regulator. I used dish soap in a squirt bottle, like Dan suggested, to locate the leaks.

I did forget, I did replace both pigtails last year. Had a little leak on one of them. New ones seemed to be higher quality.

Oddly, I think it’s the new pigtail that leaking. But it might be the propane tank on that side. I’ll spritz everything when the replacement line comes in.
