Getting ready for the season and we decided to make the storage in the Passport more user friendly. First up was the space beneath the oven. It was impossible to easily get to the pots and pans so a visit to Lowe’s turned up this metal slider that was a perfect fit.

The second mod took a bit more effort but we finally found similar shelves at Amazon for the entry pantry so we can get to the food at the back with less effort. It took some framing but 2 hours later we have new storage.

Looks great! That space under the stove has caused a lot of headaches and swearing. I might use that idea on my outdoor kitchen too. Thanks for sharing!

I have that same space under the range but there is amp for the stereo I never use . I do the a lot of the cooking and she can stuff pans in the stove like working a Rubik cube . This is a project in can look into .

That looks great!

Would you mind posting a link to the amazon item?

I like that sliding storage under the stove!

I put stuff away in there and then spend half the trip looking for it because I can't find it. Unless I lay on the floor with a flashlight it is impossible to see/find anything I hide in there!

Looks great. What kind of finish did you use for the extra framing??

I used minwax products. I bought 2 small cans, a dark grey and a brown, then mixed small amount together and tested on scrap. It was a perfect match but it was close enough for an enclosed area.

Thanks! I was at Sherman Williams today to see if they could help me match. Which wood did you use - clear pine or something else?

I used popular finish wood from Lowe’s. It was mostly hidden so I was less worried about grain pattern than I was about cost. It worked out real well! Good luck with your installation.
