I have a 2019 Sprinter Limited 3551 FWMLS 5th wheel,I took out the original King size mattress and replaced it with King size Sealy. It is real heavy, making it hard to open up storage compartment under the bed. Has anyone put on stronger gas shocks to help lift the bed up. Any advise would be great. Thanks

There should be printing on the shocks telling you the length and pounds of lift. Makes it a breeze to order the same length in stronger poundage.

Depending on the amount of additional lift required, just be careful of ordering something really larger in the thought that "more is better". Get to much and either you may not close it or when opening it will spring right up and knock you silly...:D:D

I took a picture of the label on the side of the struts. Was easier to do then trying to read it. Took the picture on the phone to the local RV parts store and showed them the pic and explained that I had a heavier mattress and was hard to open. Salesman walked over and grabbed two struts. Payed took them home. Popped two clip's put new struts on. Opens nicely now

What was the increased amount in the lifts? Might be helpful for folks considering this mod to know what worked for you.
Thanks
